If you have an iPhone in the UK on o2 and you have the insurance that took out when you got the phone initially and your phone is lost / stolen / damaged right now, as there is no stock of 8GB iPhones left you will receive a 16GB model as a replacement. Winner.
One of my friends recently had his 8GB iPhone stolen and put a claim in, his shiny new 16GB iPhone arrived this morning!
Please take note that I am in no way suggesting anyone make a false claim - this is fraud - and false claims are costing insurance companies a huge amount.
If your phone is genuinely lost / stolen / damaged and you have insurance, don’t hesitate with your claim thinking you only have a week until the new iPhone is released… get your claim in now!
