Aparently the Windows media files do only work while you are in the UK. Any ideas on how to get the streams while being outside the UK?

Cheers,
Ryan

I have downloaded this and entered the URL, but instead of the screen saying 'listening', mine says 'disconnected'. What am I missing?

Hi everybody, been following this thread with keen interest in the run up to getting an iPhone. I found "WunderRadio" in the app store, and it delivers BBC presets just fine, even when the screen sleeps. It's GBP 3.49 but has a heap of positive reviews to back it up. You can even toggle bitrates (if available) but so far, and despite using it mainly at home (i.e. with wi-fi) it seems to maintain a 3G connection, with correspondingly low bitrate. More than adequate though.

On another note, having poor FM reception where I live, and a couple of Bose iPod docks, it's brilliant being able to use them now as "internet radios" without forking out for yet more kit.

FStream worked perfectly for me (without entering the UID) and I have BBC Radio 1-4 on my iPhone.

I'm now trying to find a BBC Radio 5 link, which is tough :p

Hi!

Does anyone know the format of Five Live's URL, following the mms://wmlive-acl.bbc.co.uk/wms/radio2/radio2_nb_e1s1? syntax?

I've tried replacing the above example with "radio5/radio5" and "fivelive/fivelive".

Radios 2 & 4 work fine for me.

Cheers,

Steve

I tried the link suggested by Dave when I was in England. It worked fine on my IPhone using the WiFi link to the internet. I did not try it using 3G outside the house. On my return to Germany it does not work on 3G or WiFi. It tries to connect for a few seconds but there is no download and it then disconnects.

Has anybody out there gopt any idea why this should be happening and can I fix it ?

Thanks for any help - Ian.

I can confirm you don't need to use the UID. However; in order to get mine working I had to change the \use cellular network\ setting.

Hi, Thanks for the post, this is certainly a step forward. I was just wondering if anyone had been able to find the paths for any of the other BBC radio sites? I would really like to find 6 Music and 5Live / 5Live Sports Extra if at all possible?

Cheers.
