Call of Duty 5 is imminent but will it represent the same value for money as COD4
So, the first official trailer for Call of Duty 5 has been announced but will it represent the same value for money as its predecessor?
I think its fair to say that Call of Duty 4 may have been the best value for money xbox 360 game ever….maybe its only competition is Halo 3. Obviously that’s only my opinion.
At a guess, the average play time for an average game would be 24 to 48 hours.
Now not taking into account the single player element to COD4 my total online playtime is around 155 hours!
I didn’t get onto Call of Duty 4 until around April of this year, so i am a late comer to the online community (prestige 4 level 30 at time of writing) but I do have a number of other games waiting to be played which are getting neglected because I’m addicted to the thought of hitting my next prestige level.
I think Call of Duty 4 has really nailed the online element and i hope this carries through to 5

Couldn’t agree more! I’m a huge Battlefield 2 addict (and Desert Combat back in the day), and despite this CoD4 is the only game that:
a) I ended up playing even more than Battlefield, despite the lack of vehicles
b) i’ve ever bought for two platforms (both PS3 & PC) even in spite of it being ~£45/game
and c) nailed both the single player, /and/ the multi-player in a single game - unheard of!
A stunning achievement, hats off to the team that made it. Legends, the lot of ‘em.
I play both the PS3 & PC versions for the same amount of time on average (reason: my gamepad tracking’s geting better, but I’m still a lot more accurate on the mouse and the console’s hooked up to a big-ass projector), but it would be nice if the stats were shared. If they screw up COD5, it’ll be a shame, but CoD4 has many many hours of play left in it for me.
Shame there’s no cross platform MP or I’d offer you a shot to the head. *raises weapon*

I have to be honest with you Jay, i’m glad theres no cross platform with PC… after spending years suffering against cheats on Counterstrike, i dont trust any PC FPS players any more.
Cross platform would be cool against PS3 players though, as long as it was always PS3 vs 360
